Event Description

For those that don’t know, the EE Roadshow is a one day event where some of the best and brightest EE minds meet up, share ideas, and improve each other’s professional lives in a great environment.

You’ll get to hear Jason Hudnutt explain how to deploy EE with Git, Matt Perry will detail how he fine-tunes EE for maximum performance in complex scenarios, and Ryan Irelan‘s 10 Ways to Improve Your EE Site Development shouldn’t be missed. And that’s just three. There are additional panels and sessions planned.

While I have no doubt that these sessions will be worth the money, the most important thing about the Roadshow are the attendees. The opportunity to experience the EE Community in person is where the real value is at. It can be a career and life changing experience. I realize that’s a bold statement, but its true. The EE Community is that good, just ask GearLive’s Andru Edwards.

Rick Ellis, Lisa Wess, and I will be making the trip, but Rick is forcing me onstage where I’ll be talking about The Future of Content Management Systems. I’ll be going into detail about the philosophy behind 2.0, what we’re accomplishing with it, what the future of the CMS looks like from our perspective, and the opportunities it presents for web professionals. Rick and Lisa, meanwhile, will be hanging out and sharing food and beer with everyone (the benefits of being the CEO and contributing over 30,000 posts to the forums respectively).
