Global Directions 2013 conference, Sept. 22-25 in Washington, D.C. at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, will bring together senior executives from the world’s leading brands and most influential technology companies. The conference will provide insights on how “fast data” is enabling intelligent information management — the ability to deliver actionable information to the right person within an organization at the right time to achieve positive business results.
Inventor, author and futurist Ray Kurzweil opens the conference with a keynote on the next wave of information management. A panel discussion follows with Kurzweil joining other leaders from Microsoft, Google, IBM and Salesforce.com. Michael Hickins, editor of the Wall Street Journal’s CIO Journal will moderate the panel on the theme of “Fast Data for Fast Business: Intelligent Information Management Across the Enterprise.” The educational forum continues with sessions on analytics, customer experience management and collaboration that will take place
Conference sessions will build on the “Fast Data for Fast Business” theme with case studies and best practices from CIOs, CFOs, CMOs and other executives from high-profile brands, companies and government agencies including NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Lexis-Nexis, the Atlanta Falcons, the U.S. Department of the Interior and Equifax. Their presentations will provide real-world examples to help attendees understand how to overcome the challenges of information management, apply velocity to big data, and drive stronger business decisions across their organizations.
