Description
Coming to Amsterdam this summer: the Hippo GetTogether! After two very successful Hippo Forge Fridays, we're extending the program with talks and showcase presentations. This was a popular request from people that have participated in previous the Forge Fridays. If you have a good idea for a 15 to 30 minutes talk - don't hesitate to send me your proposal (hippogt@ onehippo com). Here are some ideas to tickle your inspiration:
* Showcase: any cool project that you put into production (bring your happy customer!)
* Cool vs hot: show the audience your Hippo CMS coding skillzz
* Best practices / lessons learned
* How-to sessions
* Related technologies (Java frameworks, AJAX, etc)
* How you ran a successful Hippo project
* (use your imagination! don't let the above restrict you ;) )
We're looking to put together a well balanced program, with tech talks, end-user talks, newcomer talks, and talks anywhere in between.
A rough, preliminary, outline of the schedule:
* 09:00-09:15 Welcome
* 09:15-10:15 What's new and what's coming?
* 10:15-11:00 Show cases / end-user / newcomer talks
* 11:00-11:15 Break
* 11:15-12:30 Show cases / end-user / newcomer talks
* 12:30-14:00 Lunch break
* 14:00-15:45 Cool vs hot / tech talks
* 15:45-16:00 Break
* 16:00-20:30 Forge hackathon (with pizza and beers)
* 18:00-19:00 Food!
* 20:30-21:00 2-minute Forge presentations (dude, look what I just built!). Beers.
* 21:00 Forge Friday Award Ceremony (Yes! This is where we play the national anthem for you. If you're cool.)
* 21:00-22:00 More beers and done.
Of course you can expect me and the Hippo dev team to climb on stage and go on about:
* What's new in Hippo CMS 7.4?
* Roadmap / what's up for the upcoming releases!
* Community spotlight
