The Open Source Developers Conference is a not-for-profit conference covering all aspects of open source technology - from software and systems to open data. For the past 8 years OSDC has been held across Australia, hosting talks by leaders and luminaries of Open Source Technology.
OSDC 2012 will be held across three days, consist of three tracks and will be held at the University of Technology Sydney, Broadway Campus from the 5th to the 7th of December.
Over the past few years in Sydney we have seen rapid growth in Open Source technology take-up rate by local enterprise and government. Our focus for OSDC12 will be around the use of Open Source in business and how you can make a commercial business around open source code.
An important trend to note is that no where has this growth been greater then in the space of Web and Content Management Systems. Our plan to attack the ever growing demand for Web based open source skill sets is the CMS Expo day on the 4th of December. We have managed to build a team of people for the expo day that are key organisers in the open CMS communities. The day will be based around some skill sharing tutorials, case studies and talks from leading contributors in Open Source CMS projects.
