Description

Information Today, Inc. (ITI) is pleased to announce that it has acquired the Search Engine Meeting from Infonortics Ltd of Tetbury, U.K. The Search Engine Meeting, last held in Boston in April of 2009, has been a fixture on the calendar of search engine designers and developers for 14 years. This distinctive conference has provided a road map to search for more than a decade.

As the leading conference for learning about cutting edge information on the latest search engine trends and developments, the Search Engine Meeting is an ideal complement to ITI’s existing conferences, including WebSearch University and Enterprise Search Summit.

Harry Collier of Infonortics said, “When it was time for me to step down as the organizer of this conference, I was hoping that it would land in the hands of a company that is known for producing high-quality events in this field. Information Today certainly fits that criterion.”

ITI has always been a great admirer of the Search Engine Meeting and the job that has been done by the Infonortics management, the conference chairs and co-chairs, and the expert speakers who make the event such a success. ITI is committed to preserving the nature and character of the event that they developed.

The 2010 program will be developed with the support of steering committee, including Stephen E. Arnold, David A. Evans, Susan Feldman, Elizabeth Liddy, and Barbara Brynko.
