AvePoint is pushing the limits of what can be done in Office 365 with the release of three new apps to protect confidential documents, find information and provide analytical insight.
The apps are geared toward improved productivity.
- Watermark lets users convert SharePoint Online documents into watermarked PDFs and securely share them with internal and external users
- MyWorld uses Office Graph to surface Office 365 content on mobile devices
- PDF Aggregator lets users convert documents into PDFs within a document library with a single click
The three apps are designed to protect content against unauthorized use, enable users to see trending topics and simplify file management.
While Office 365 enables organizations to improve collaboration and communication, users still face challenges when it comes to controlling sensitive content as well as finding relevant information and collaborators.
AvePoint said it is continuing its historical mission — maximizing productivity — but embracing new technology markets such as Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Windows Phone and other Microsoft products and technologies, explained Eric Burniche, AvePoint's senior director of product marketing.
“For businesses of all shapes and sizes, one goal is common: maximizing user productivity. Hindrances such as switching interfaces and floods of irrelevant data slow your information workers down,” Burniche said.
He described the apps as a “large shift toward building and providing apps that are more front facing." The IT department’s goal is to simplify business user’s technology experience, making them more productive, he added.
