Our hearts are thumping and adrenalin levels are high as we tell you about the just-released Day’s CQ5 WCM. To get as close as possible to a real-life experience, we went ahead and installed the software from scratch and played with it for a couple of days. It was a fun ride.

Without further due, let’s jump in and see what Day came up with after three years of WCM silence.

It’s a Swiss treats day for a Swiss vendor. Enterprise CMS provider Day Software has received the Swiss Open Source Award 2008 in the business category.

Day Software, well known for their Communiqué content management solution, has just released the latest version of their Content Repository with some interesting new enhancements.

These enhancements provide enterprise level implementations with more advanced backup and recovery, higher performance and scalability and increased development capabilities.

Since its launch nearly two years 2005, Apache Jackrabbit has been popular in the open source industry. With Day’s service and support for Jackrabbit, development and deployment of applications will be accelerated and users can realize the full and utilize the full potential of the JCR technology. The company has introduced new offerings around training, support, consulting and development.
