Business agility is all about being prepared for and able to quickly adapt to change. There has been so much written about agility from gurus like Peter Drucker, industry analysts like Forrester and Gartner, and the large well-respected community of process improvement practitioners that it would seem there is nothing new left to be said. Well, challenge accepted.

Agility Broadcast Solution is an out-of-the-box, customizable website for broadcasters in the media and entertainment industries. Agility CMS lets users manage content across digital channels, including websites, mobile apps and social media pages from one interface.

The folks behind Agility content management suite have announced the SaaS offering's August 2011 release, improving the way publishers drive content through digital channels and introducing a new development bar for easier access to tweaking and access tools. This release changes the way content is published or accessed, especially considering multiple data streams and channels.

We noted when Nuxeo (news, site) released its Case Management Framework last year that, while the case management framework is not exactly new in the world of ECM, it's nice. With this week’s release of v1.7, Nuxeo has added some nifty new abilities into a content management world, where case management is just about essential in many verticals, if not all.

Big Blue has used its Impact conference to do a little bit of spring cleaning around its business process management (BPM) software. Among the range of tweaking and introductions, which it has been promising for a while, is the release of a unified business process platform, as well as a range of services to help those who are turning their attention to BPM as a way of saving money.

 Last January, EMC (news, site) bought GRC vendor Archer. This January, EMC outlined how it viewed GRC in the coming years and how Archer would fit into that. The result is the RSA Archer eGRC Management Platform, which provides a basis of EMC’s newly formulated GRC strategy.

What did we learn from 2010?

The clear message is that a more difficult economic climate is gearing mindshare towards cost-effective solutions, especially when it comes to ECM systems.
