It’s been a veritable document management feast this week with new releases from Adobe for better PDF use, Cabinet NG upgrading its CNG-WEB, tweeting for records management and Microsoft upgrading its Docs.com for Facebook. Meanwhile, Uncle Sam just keeps wasting money through pointless searches. In fact, across all releases this week, the common theme seems to be effective document search.

Not one for big announcements or major point releases, Cabinet NG  (news, site)  keeps upgrading its document management solutions with small, incremental improvements.

This time, the upgrade is to its CNG-WEB, which gives users secure access to CNG-SAFE though a secure web-browser interface.

Document management software vendor Cabinet NG (news, site) has just announced it is going green by integrating with Include Software, which specializes in business process and business management software to the landscape industry.

Having added to their content management offering with a SaaS edition late last year, CNG  (news, site) is reaping the rewards of their success from Microsoft with a Certified Partnership.

This should help to highlight CNG's intuitive and secure electronic filing approach to documents. The product is aimed at smaller enterprises and provides businesses with an affordable way to run a paperless office.

Running under Windows Server or business editions of Windows XP and Vista. CNG software offers file and workflow management, document security and retention with format independence via a range of linked packages. The API is also available for in-house developers to link CNG's apps into other systems.

With industry-specific install configurations to help vertical businesses create a paperless environment, CNG says that companies can be up and running in a matter of minutes, rather than months.
