It's quiet in the wake of Labor Day, but document automation vendor Eclipse isn't resting as it moves to Silver level membership of the Oracle Partner Network (OPN).

Nuance Communications (news, site) has been adding to its eCopy ShareScan Suite in slow increments over the years. In April it added some new functionality in v4.35 and eCopy SDK. This week it released v5.0 that builds on that providing just about everything needed to automate paper-to-digital scanning.

Since document content lifecycle management company (DCLM) Litéra (news, site) bought document automation company SoftWise last December, it has been working on developing Innova, SoftWise’s automation platform. After six months work on it version 6.0 has finally been released.

Nuance Communications (news, site) has added to the document automation capabilities of eCopy ShareScan, the company’s multifunction peripheral scanning system.

The recently release v9.2 of Hyland Software’s (news, site) enterprise content management system continues the development of solutions both on-premise and SaaS and focuses this time on users that work remotely but still need full access to the OnBase ECM suite.

With the acquisition of eWebHealth, Hyland Software (news, site) has not only tightened its grip on the healthcare market, but also adds new solutions provided by eWeb, in particular medical records and revenue cycle workflow solutions.

Ohio-based Hyland Software (news, site) which announced it was launching its SaaS enterprise content management system in Europe in July, has now announced that it has teamed up with Swedish document automation giant ReadSoft.

While the companies say that the partnership touches all kinds of documentation processes, this partnership appears to be focused primarily on integrating one of ReadSoft’s main solutions into Hyland’s OnBase ECM, notably invoice processing from end to end.

Despite the economy, Thunderhead (news, site) has shown solid growth with its Enterprise Communications Platform that enables business users to manage the process of creating intelligent, personalized communications across multiple channels, end-to-end.
