M-FilesLogo[1].gif Another European company that is taking on the US market is the Finnish company Motive Systems Oy, which opened its American office in Texas earlier this year, and which has just released v6.0 of its document management system after its initial beta run.

When it opened its US subsidiary in March, the company said it was doing so to capitalize on the accelerating growth and popularity of the document management system M-Files in US and Canadian markets.

Discussing the new release, VP of Business Development Matt Asay indicated that they had improved support for Kofax Capture. So the announcement that a new extension for Alfresco 3.1 is undergoing beta testing and will soon be ready for general release is no real surprise.

However, it was neither Kofax, nor Alfresco itself that developed the extension, but Alfresco’s partner Micro Strategies did the honors this time.
