CMSWire covered SubHub (news, site) when the cloud-based web content management provider released its initial SubHub Lite Drupal 7 offering back in December, becoming one of the pioneers on the platform. The company, which has offered website building and content publishing since 2005, has now announced a Drupal 7-based Content Monetization Platform (CMP) including a marketplace (App Store) for Drupal 7 (news, site) modules. CMSWire walked through the new offering shortly before it went live with Evan Rudowski, Co-Founder and Director of SubHub.

Acquia (news, site), the commercial open source company offering Drupal Web CMS (news, site) support, products and services, has been busy solidifying its position as the first option everyone thinks of any time the words "cloud" and "Drupal" are used together.

Jeremy Andrews of Tag1 Consulting has announced the launch of Drupal Watchdog, the first print magazine dedicated to Drupal. The irony of it all hasn't gone unnoticed, but Drupal founder Dries Buytaert says the mag has the potential to become "quite a highlight" in the history of the content management system. 

You already knew that Microsoft supported Drupal 6 in both their Web Platform Installer and WebMatrix tool. But now the self-proclaimed king of interoperability adds support for the latest version of the open source Web CMS: Drupal 7.

That's right, Drupal 7 has officially launched today. The latest version of the well known open source web content management system has been three years in the making (and we've covered much of that work), now we just have to wait for the contributed modules to catch up.

UK-based SubHub (news, site) has released a new cloud web content management system built on Drupal 7. The company, which specializes in enabling non-technical customers to establish monetized content sites, has offered website building and content publishing since 2005 using a proprietary CMS. The new solution, SubHub Lite, drops the custom CMS in favor of the popular open source CMS platform Drupal.
