Ephox (news, site) began 2010 with an upgrade of EditLive to v7.0. As 2010 came to a close, EditLive was bumped up yet again to v7.5. This year, Ephox is focusing on user experience by upgrading its professional services -- if you can upgrade services that is -- and adding a new plugin for a better user experience with TinyMCE.

Ephox (news, site) unveils the latest update to its EditLive tool for both professionals and enterprises who write for the Web.

At this year's EPiServer Partner Summit -- running today through June 6th -- Ephox (news, site) will be discussing their new online authoring capabilities for EPiSerer CMS. EditLive! claims to bring the power of traditional word processing to non-techies, while simultaneously enhancing productivity and website quality.  

One of the most predominant online text editors on the market -- the open source JavaScript WYSIWYG TinyMCE Editor -- will be offered under a commercial license and with enterprise support options thanks to the partnership between Ephox (news, site) and Moxiecode, the developers of this editor.

In the past three months both EPiServer CMS (news, site) and Ephox EditLive! (news, site) have been upgraded -- EPiServer CMS to version 6 and EditLive! to version 7.0. Today the two have been integrated so EPiServer CMS users will be now able to use EditLive!

Early last year, IBM (news, site) integrated Ephox’s (news, site) authoring tool EditLive into Lotus Quickr and Lotus Web Content Management. Now, a year later and just before Lotusphere 2010, Ephox has announced that it has upgraded EditLive! with a new autosave function, templating abilities and context based collaboration.

Happy 10th birthday Ephox (news, site)! 'Happy' being extra appropriate, as the company is up an impressive 91% in revenue compared to this time last year according to the Q3 numbers released this week.

The news follows a strong 2009 for the online authoring software providers whose flagship product, EditLive!, saw more than US$ 5 million in sales over the last 12 months. A handful of enterprise partnerships with big names like IBM and Open Text also nudged them in the right direction, as well as notable recognition from various sources.

Ephox reached number 755 in the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing privately held companies in America (with a 383% growth for the three-year period ended 2009) and the Silicon Valley Business Journal ranked them number 14 on the "Fast Private" list for the fastest-growing companies in Silicon Valley.

IBM’s (news site) Lotus Web Content Management System is to ship with a second HTML editor following the announcement of a new OEM partnership with Ephox, the web content authoring software developer of EditLive.

According to Ephox (news,site), the new editor is for non-technical business users who do not know how to manipulate HTML and who are likely to stay that way for the foreseeable future.

Time to make authoriing content in Lotus Quickr quick and easy. IBM and Ephox have announced the integration of EditLive into IBM's collaboration software, Lotus Quickr. This is just another integration in a long line of integrations for EditLive.
