If you’ve ever wondered what keeps companies from implementing effective enterprise email management solutions, look no further.

MessageGate, a company that works to facilitate Enterprise email risk management through email controls, has released the results of a survey that sought to highlight the limitations of existing email management and security solutions. The Network WorldBusiness Intelligence survey revealed a growing gap in enterprise email management solutions, which as a result are hindering compliance measures in the face of growing regulatory mandates.

Recently, we had the opportunity to talk with MessageGate’s Vice President of Marketing and Business, Chris Bradley about the survey results and their implications among enterprise email management.

Postini is enhancing its on-demand Email Security Services through the addition of new content analysis and policy administration tools to enable better email compliance policies.

Postini was purchased by Google last July.

Northern California-based Tangent, Inc. today announced their DataCove email archiving appliance. The company aims to deliver a device that meets US federal archival compliance regulations, and with a ticket price just under US$ 4000.

cBrains email management system was recently updated to work with Microsoft Exchange/Outlook and Lotus Notes and it now also complies with the new Federal e-Discovery Rules in the US. Although they are an Australian company and the new law, which was affective December 1, 2006, isn’t applicable to them, their customers certainly may be subject to it, so its time to fall in line.
