Enterprise search services provider Search Technologies is releasing two new data connectors for Lotus Notes and Atlassian Confluence. Data connectors extract content from enterprise repositories for indexing into the search engine.

In what has to be one of the deals of the week it has just been announced that Salesforce has bought out the French content connector software company EntropySoft. The interesting thing about it is that it appears to have happened about a month ago, there was no announcement made, and EntropySoft’s website doesn't really exist anymore.

Even before it opened its office in San Francisco in March, EntropySoft had been expanding at a tremendous rate. Since then it has released a number of new connectors and added functionality to Content Hub. This week, it has announced a partnership with IBM that will see Big Blue offering Content Hub Enterprise Edition with its enterprise content management offerings.

EntropySoft has been pushing its Content Hub and Content Connector technology so much so that, at this point, it has most of the major content repositories covered. Today, though, it adds another one with a partnership with Integro that will see Integro selling both technologies as part of its Email Manager offering.

Here’s another announcement form Collaborate 2012 that, while not earth-shattering, is still interesting -- and useful. Oracle and TEAM, a systems integration vendor and specialist in Oracle WebCenter, have announced that it has released an email manager for Oracle. With it, Oracle users will be able to manage their email through Oracle’s WebCenter Content Records.

EntropySoft has taken a step further to easing the deployment of hybrid IT environments for enterprises. This time, it has announced that it has made its SharePoint connector and Exchange connector compatible with Microsoft’s Office 365 cloud suite.

It’s been a slow start to the year in GRC, but it looks like one where e-Discovery is going to play a major role, at least according to Nuix. Axceler and MetricStream have both entered partnerships with Jornata and Qualys, while EntropySoft has released a new connector with ZyLab for better e-Discovery.

It’s the final day of the SharePoint conference in Anaheim, and there are just a few loose ends to tie up before leaving. While there has been a lot to think about over the past four days, there were a few releases that slipped under the radar from EntropySoft, RIM and CommVault, as well as early results of some interesting research from Forrester.

Leaving aside issues around the question as to whether you should be archiving information contained on Twitter -- considering the amount of nonsense that can be found in the twitter-verse -- EntropySoft (news, site) has added a connector to its Content Hub that will enable enterprises to archive that content.
