In its latest survey of the land's lay, Evans Data finds that developers woldwide prefer StarTeam above all other control management products on the market. This news comes from the 2007 Developer’s Choice: Source Control Management Systems rankings.

A recently released Global Developer Population Study reflects projected 45 percent growth between 2006 and 2010 in the worldwide developer population, according to Evans Data Corp. The results were comprised of responses from over 1200 developers worldwide.

The latest Evans Data survey reflects over a quarter of database usage instances among developers over the past two years utilize MySQL. Why the dramatic figure?

In their recent 2007 Scripting Languages -- Developers Choice Report, involving more than 400 developers, California-based Evans Data Corporation found that contrary to some popular opinion, Adobe and Microsoft's environments were considered by developers to be more secure than client/server AJAX scripting solutions such as Ruby, PHP, and Python.

In a winter survey of 'round about 400 programmers in Europe, the Middle East and Asia (collectively the EMEA region), Evans Data Corporation paints a surprising picture of developer habits and preferences, including Integrated Development Environment (IDE) popularity.
