laserfiche Launched New CMS

You know them for their document management and records management systems, but today Laserfiche has moved a step further into the world of enterprise content management with the announcement of Laserfiche Rio, a combination of their enterprise document management software and business process management software.

Laserfiche says Rio is the enterprise content management solution you've been looking for. And guess what? -- It integrates with SharePoint.

Laserfiche is showcasing its latest document management offering at AIIM in Boston this week, a release which focuses on integrating content with business processes. Laserfiche 8 aims to provide an open, scalable, service-oriented architecture, enabling organizations to unify content from disparate sources in various formats.

Document Management vendor Laserfiche has just showcased Laserfiche 8 at its annual conference in Los Angeles. Delegates were treated to an extensive preview of the product which will hit the shelves shortly.

Laserfiche believes that the new product will streamline delivery channels from point of capture to end users and repositories. They reckon a SOA and unification of information from disparate sources, in multiple formats, will achieve exactly that.
