Lotusphere throws up all kinds of new partnerships. One of them from this year’s event is between social media intelligence vendor MutualMind and Big Blue. As a result, users of Lotus Notes and Connections will be able to embed MutualMind’s Social Business Enterprise application.

Since June, when harmon.ie announced the release of harmon.ie 3.0 for SharePoint, being social at work became a lot easier for Outlook Exchange users. Now harmon.ie is bringing social business to Lotus Notes.

It has also been busy this week in the GRC space. For Lotus Notes, Daegis has announced functionality on its e-Discovery platform that enables enterprises to preserve collaborative application data throughout the e-Discovery process, Iron Mountain and GimmalSoft get together for SharePoint 2010 records management, there’s new archiving abilities for Office 365, OpenPeak secures Android, and BIA offers e-Discovery on iPads and iPhones.

Thanks to the folks at harmon.ie, intergrating SharePoint and other enterprise collaboration platforms got easier. They've released harmon.ie for SharePoint, version 2.2, which continues to let users transform clunky, cumbersome email clients (from Lotus Notes to Outlook) into a collaboration and social workspace with a few added perks and fixes.
