This week I turned Buzz back in order to show you that the platform added what was rumored to be its most requested feature: Reshare. The addition does exactly what it sounds like -- lets users reshare Buzz posts from other users -- making Buzz even more Twitter-like than it was before.

New company Hashwork's lead product helps to make it easier for employees, customers and prospects to communicate and share useful information.

NewsGator (news, sites) announced the beta release of their SharePoint-based social computing platform, Social Sites 3.0 in late June. At that time they announced two new features: Socialpedia and Knowledge Explorer. With general availability starting today, there's another new feature added to the 3.0 mix: micro-blogging.

Is this enough to make you choose NewsGator over some other SharePoint enabled social computing platform? Here are a couple of other things that may sway you.

We all love our micro-blogging applications. We Tweet, we Tumble, we Pownce (or at least we did Pownce),  we feed our friends. Now thanks to Movable Type we are in Motion. They have released a beta for their new social application, Motion, for licensed users of Movable Type Pro.

HashMT is a micro-blogging and social media utility built by Jesse Gardner of Plasticmind Design. In a nice turn of events Jesse has just announced plans to open source the previously commercial project. HashMT is strictly geared towards Moveable Type users and is not affiliated with Twitter directly.

Now on their third beta release, the WordPress team is promising big things with version 2.7. After completing the first round of bug fixes from the beta 1 and beta 2 releases, the WordPress team is making sure that the full public release is a quality release with minimal issues.
