The week, brought to you by Telework Exchange and Cisco for the second time, aims to encourage Federal, state, and local agencies, private sector organizations and individuals to pledge to telework.

In our ever-changing, technology-evolving world, there are a few constants. People need to work and collaborate and want to do it as conveniently as possible. These three elements (work, collaboration and mobility), according to a new report by Forrester, make up what the research company calls a mobile app Internet.

 It’s not a surprise that we remain fascinated by the behaviors of employees. What they do, don’t do or want to do at work not only helps us maximize their productivity, innovate the workforce or better understand their motivation. Previously we’ve examined how employees engage, collaborate and share information. Today, however, we learn more about how they use mobile devices in ways, that, well, engage more than just their workplace.

Forget Valentine’s Day. This week, CMSWire celebrated National Telework Week. Never mind that every week is Telework Week for us, but we’re using it as an opportunity to address your company’s plans to make working remotely better and more productive.

The last time we talked about Antenna Software, the mobile enterprise solutions provider had just introduced its collection of mobile apps into the Antenna Mobility Platform (AMP) Approvals Suite. Today, they announced their acquisition of the mobile Internet software company, Volantis Systems Ltd.  As a result, Antenna will begin to leverage itself as a complete end-to-end mobile solutions provider for enterprises and carriers.

Talk about impeccable timing. A new survey released by People Security (and commissioned by 3M corporation), found that two-thirds of employees expose sensitive data outside the workplace. Seems more believable than ever, right?

As Thanksgiving approaches, it’s customary that we begin to give thanks for all that we have come to rely on. From bountiful harvests to family and friends, there is plenty for which to give thanks. In addition to all of these things, this year we are thankful for several enterprise-level advancements that encourage productivity, security and innovation.
