On the brink of Morello and Immediacy brands dissolving in history, Alterian Content Manager 5.9.5 brings several new features and enhancements, ranging from W3C’s WCAG validation capabilities to changes to the user interface that have been added to both the web-based and desktop versions of the Web CMS.

There have been some rumors circling around about Alterian (news, site) discontinuing its Immediacy Web CMS brand. Morello, their other CMS, is part of that goodbye story as well.

So, is it true that it is finita la comedia for Immediacy and Morello? We had a chat with Alterian’s VP of WCM product strategy Ian Truscott to find out.

Now some of you might ask why Alterian (news, site) would have two SharePoint connectors in their inventory content management connectors. If you knew the history of Alterian, you would know. It's because they have two web content management systems: Morello and Immediacy. And each one connects to SharePoint a little bit different.

Most of us take our vision for granted, but what about those who must rely on braille or aural web browsing devices to get their internet fix? UK CMS provider, Mediasurface, is making web accessibility easier to adhere to with the launch of the latest version of its enterprise-level, flagship CMS, Morello 5.7.

Its selling point is a number of new enhancements that help create and maintain XHTML Transitional or Strict websites. These changes are specifically aimed to help sites more easily adhere to the standards of W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

As more and more companies continue to implement SharePoint solutions, other ECM vendors are entering the playground showing that it’s almost becoming a requirement to integrate with SharePoint 2007.

Mediasurface is now one of these vendors, with the announcement of their Morello MOSS 2007 Connector.

Good news for sites pushing product: Mediasurface, a provider of web content management solutions, is joining forces with hybris, an e-commerce provider, to give clients an e-commerce web solution with the strength of a full-blown CMS backing it.

British Web content management provider Mediasurface have announced the integration of their Morello Web CMS solution with WoodWing’s Smart Newspapers system.

The result is calculated to provide newspaper publishers, particularly, with an enterprise-wide solution to the industry-specific challenges of enabling content management across off-line and on-line channels using a single user interface.

Considering Google thinks it’s God’s gift to enterprise content management (per some saucy words by Product Marketing Manager David Bercovich), getting pinned “Best ECM Partner” by the search giant is no small accolade.

This is the label Mediasurface received at Google’s Partner Connect ‘07 awards. Hey, a good team player is hard to find.
