Socialtext has been adding and adding to its enterprise social platform since it launched v5.0 in September. This year it looks set to maintain that momentum and has already announced a partnership with NetDocuments.

This week, Microsoft has announced details of its upcoming Service Packs for Office on PC and Mac, Perceptive’s ImageNow integrates with Dynamics AX, Motive’s Cloud Vault is launched on Azure, Kofax releases Express 2.5 and Nuance releases its new PDF Connector.

There are probably a lot of clients of the SaaS document management company NetDocuments (news, site) that will be glad that the company has decided to team-up with security giant RSA by entering the RSA Secured Partner Programme.

The long-running program established by RSA is a technology alliance that brings together over 300 companies with over 1000 complimentary solutions.

So what’s the big deal with NetDocuments, you ask? Well this partnership will add an extra layer of security to the already substantial security checks in place to protect documents that are being held by NetDocuments.

Workshare and NetDocuments are extending the scope of their integrated document management product resulting in a more comprehensive document management solution that should appeal to their base clientele in the legal industry.

Whether the new offering is in response to growing compliance demands generally, or whether it is to copper fasten their collective hold on the legal market is not clear.

What is, though, is that this broader, or deeper, integration provides multiple options to leverage this document comparison product that has been on the market since 2001.
