Movable Type Fork Melody Hits v1.0 Milestone

melody-w150.jpgSince Six Apart (news, site) announced that Movable Type was going open source, Open Melody (news, site) has been one of the more popular forks of MTOS, especially with former Six Apart staff spearheading the project. Two years after, Melody finally goes on 1.0 release.

Movable Type (MTOS) Forks, Hello Open Melody

The move was greeted with enthusiasm, but the momentum never really seemed to build from that point. Now a group of ex-Six Apart staff and other MT enthusiasts have taken matters -- and the code -- into their own hands. Say hello to Open Melody. Let's have a look.
