BrightWork, Inc. today announced the availability of version 7.0 of pmPoint, their tool for leveraging SharePoint specifically for project and program management.

While BrightWork has certainly been evolving the product since its initial release in 2001, they themselves claim pmPoint 7.0 to be the most significant version since its debut. Now that the major updates have finally planted the tool on our radar, let’s start with a little deserved background information. 

CMSWire hasn't talked a great deal about open source ECM provider Nuxeo lately, but that doesn't mean they haven't been hard at work enhancing their CMS solution and building new products -- they have. In fact, we had an opportunity to see just what Nuxeo has been up to lately - new Digital Asset Management Product to name one thing - and where they are headed next year - dare we say the cloud?

Claromentis has recently made all Linux users much happier by releasing a collaboration and information management platform for Linux.

It includes the brand new Project Manager application, content and document management, as well as process management using e-forms.

Hold on to your hats, Basecamp lovers! Now you can manage your project collaboration utopia via a simple and effective iGoogle gadget.

Periscope, added to iGoogle’s gadget directory earlier this month, allows users to control multiple Basecamp accounts from their iGoogle homepage.

Bamboo Solutions knows a lot about SharePoint. They should. Their business is focused on delivering collaborative business solutions based on the SharePoint platform. Their latest solution to hit the pavement is the Project Management Suite for SharePoint and it looks jam packed with functionality any project manager using SharePoint would drool over.

Last month we reported that Mochila, the first global online media marketplace for print, video, and photo content, announced a partnership with Clickability. This development created “a broader distribution channel for client content” and “an outlet to earn money via Mochila’s innovative AdMatch program.”

With access to Clickability’s clients, including NBC, CNN, Editor & Publisher, and the Wall Street Journal, who would have thought the pot could get any sweeter?

Here’s a big lesson for us: the pot can always get sweeter. On Monday Mochila announced that Reuters, the global information company, has joined as one of its premier content providers.

Websites will achieve maximum value when they focus on the tasks of their customers, not the technology or content.
