Is Microsoft in the process of losing one of the few competitive advantages it has in tablets? That question is being raised following news this week that Google is now offering its Quickoffice productivity apps for mobile devices, including tablets, for free.

Yesterday Google was focused on social analytics and making Google+ an easier social network to manage, now it's turned its attention back to office productivity with the acquisition of QuickOffice, a mobile office productivity software solution.

There's a huge mobile market out there and Box (news, site) wants them to know they are adding tools to support them. They've released a set of collaboration tools for their mobile platform that let's you work when you want, from where you want.
