This week with many companies looking back over the past six months to see what they might do in the coming six months there has been a lot of research into the cloud and SMB adoption. Dell has also been busy and continues its moves into the SMB space with new security offerings.

The will-we-won’t-we debate over the deployment of Cloud-based solutions continues. This time its Cloud technology consultancy Saugatuck’s (news, site) turn arguing in their latest report that while it is inevitable that enterprises will take to the Cloud, it is effective management of  Cloud deployments that will make it successful or not.

Those of you who believe that the growing virtualization trend is merely a passing fad, think again. According to a new study by Saugatuck Technology Inc., virtualization will have the single largest effect on IT budgets for hardware and support over the next three years (cue Jamiroquai’s 90’s hit “Virtual Insanity”).
