Skyfire (news, site) expands its range of browsers to the iPad and brings more features than any of its mobile cousins. 

Well, the iPhone isn't a fan of Flash but the Android sure is. Skyfire (news, site) launched its first Flash-enabled mobile Web browser last week.  

The mobile browser war has been waging on with recent releases from the likes of Mozilla, Opera and Skyfire. And while each has been keeping up with functionality and developments in their own right, last week the contender likeliest to come out on top stepped onto the battle field and got blown to bits.

What we’re referring to, of course, is Mozilla’s pre-alpha release of Firefox Mobile, a.k.a. Fennec. The early test version was made available to HTC Touch Pro, but to the dismay of many an excited mobile enthusiast, wouldn’t load any Web pages.

Last time we covered Skyfire, those who wanted to browse the Internet on their phones in the same way as on their PCs had to sign up on a waiting list.

Well, now you can kick that wait time to the curb, because Skyfire has upped its game and left private beta. It is now available to anyone in the U.S. with a phone running on Windows Mobile, and it’s still absolutely free.

One of Skyfire’s new features — Super Bar — acts a lot like Google Chrome’s Omnibox with its auto-suggest and search capability in one address bar.

A new player in the mobile web browsing playground is rapidly changing the mobile web content game. By launching their downloadable mobile web browser Skyfire has the potential to compete with Safari, Opera and other mobile browsers that are out there. The browser is fast, simple, supports rich media and, what a shocker, is absolutely free.
