  Bitrix Software has unveiled a major upgrade for its beta Bitrix24 social intranet service, with Google Docs integration, mobile CRM and other enhancements. 

Bitrix, maker of Bitrix Site Manager and the Bitrix24 on-premises social intranet, has released a new version of its free, cloud-based Bitrix24. Launched last year and available free for companies of no more than 12 employees, the newest online version now comes with a native project management toolset.

Blogs, wikis, activity feeds and other user-generated content are turning intranets into vibrant internal social networks. But what should be done with all that content, much of which gets old fast? In the newest version of its software, social intranet software vendor ThoughtFarmer has released a new archiving tool just for that purpose.
