This week Six Apart (news, site) launched their very own microblogging service to complement the burgeoning family of TypePad conversational media hubs. TypePad Micro aims not to compete, but to work in tandem with popular services like Twitter.  

Whether you are a blogger writing for food or more established at the art of drawing ire from the Associated Press or the FTC, chances are you’re dedicated to whatever it is you blog about. As the world slowly succumbs to wireless fidelity, subway systems and municipalities at the same time, blogging is no longer limited to those on laptops at the local coffee shop or at their home office. No, blogging via mobile device is now more accessible and viable than ever.

Six Apart (news, site), eager as anyone else to be a part of the phenomenon, has added a microblogging function to TypePad. The new tool streamlines your updates with its “post from anywhere” capabilities, and works in conjunction with e-mail, the iPhone and the new TypePad Blog It bookmarklet.

Like most tech folks, we at CMSWire are fans of Macromedia’s all-encompassing software offerings, but Adobe Contribute especially tickles our fancy.

Adobe Contribute 4 simplifies content management by bridging the gap between word processing and Web publishing several times over. One such trestle is the support of popular blog servers like WordPress.com and Blogger.com.

Last December, TypePad Connect was announced as a way to bring a new level of visibility into blog posts, comments and other action taking place on weblogs. The commenting system offered by TypePad allowed your blog to have threaded comments, commenter profile pictures and allowed blog owners to block spam comments and read/reply to comments within email.

The blogging platform provider has now announced that you can easily sign into TypePad Connect with less fuss by using an existing account you probably already have including Yahoo, Google, Blogger, AIM, Vox and many more.

With the move to a new infrastructure finally nearing completion, TypePad is starting release more new features designed to take your blog's community to the greater social web. Three new features recently implemented include profiles, enhanced commenting and TypePad Connect.

All these enhancements and the latest batch of TypePad powered services -- AntiSpam, Blog It, Blog Link  -- demonstrate the work that Six Apart is doing with TypePad to make blogging a much more community oriented world.

Six Apart knows there’s nothing worse than an out of work journalist. That’s why the company who makes the major commercial blogging platforms TypePad and Movable Type is offering pro-level blog memberships for free to out-of-work media types.

We all know that blogs and blogging are a shockingly effective means of sharing your most ingenious thoughts and building or participating in online communities.

SixApart, creators of TypePad and the Facebook BlogIt tool (among many other things), is in the news again. This time they have created a blog anti-spam plugin for TypePad. Here’s the kicker, though…it works with WordPress also. Watchout Akismet…here comes TypePad AntiSpam.

So what if installing third party software on your iPhone may void your warranty. A blogger’s got to do what a blogger’s got to do, and what could be more enticing than the ability to blog from one’s iPhone?
