Vital Path has just released a new version of its PathBuilder offering, in which vestiges of virtualization are used for the greater good: "in-place" records management (that's VP's specialty).

ECM purveyor TOWER recently joined forces with content integration vendor Vital Path. Together, they plan to purvey "in place" records management solutions.

"In place" records management solutions make it possible for businesses to manage content at line-of-business and departmental levels while managing records at the enterprise level.

Thus, enterprises are better able to leverage existing IT investments and systems that are already in place.

There's a promise we've heard before: "Invest in us, and we will justify all previous investments you've ever made."
