 Leading Windows Phone maker Nokia is inviting the press to an event next month to show off the future of the Lumia range. Expect more than just the Lumia 928 as the company pushes out from its recent turnaround. 

Both companies are facing press, partner or investor backlash, and user hostility, or worse, indifference. Apple should be looking to win back lost momentum with the next iPhone announcement while Microsoft will be looking to tie computer, mobile devices and TV together via its next Xbox console. 

Hot on the heels of Google's Keep announcement, Evernote has been boosting its profile with a string of news, including updates for its mobile apps, adding new features and other improvements. 

Microsoft has announced several Windows Azure updates this week including a Hadoop distribution preview called HDInsight.
