Elvis is integrating. This time around it's with InDesign as WoodWing's Elvis DAM 4.0 is being integrated with 1io’s one2edit 3.8, combining the digital asset management tool with the application designed to streamline workflows of documents created in Adobe’s InDesign. 

DAM, that week went quickly. In recent digital asset management news, North Plains releases two Xinets, there’s a new Elvis, DAM can be valuable when it’s invisible, FocusOPEN has an update, SDL Tridon has a major new release, and a return to return on investment. 

There’s a new Elvis stepping onto the stage. This week, multi-channel publishing vendor WoodWing released version 4.0 of its Elvis digital asset management (DAM) system, featuring an enhanced integration with the editorial management application, Content Station, in the company’s Enterprise publishing solution.

The DAM week has gone by already. In recent digital asset management news: NetXposure’s Keyword helper, findability, Elvis and Woodwing’s Enterprise, DRM and Dr. Berners-Lee and Zoom 4.0 from evolphin.

DAM/digital publishing technology provider WoodWing is releasing version 8.1 of its Enterprise multichannel publishing solution, with an emphasis on simplifying and optimizing the workflows that support multichannel publishing.

It will become easier for digital designers to create their publications with a new tool from WoodWing. The company has created SmartDPS which will work with Adobe’s InDesign program.

It’s been another DAM week. In digital asset management news, Telestream connects with Leaping Brain, self-service DAM is compared to filling up, Razuna targets the Enterprise, the DAMMYs roll out the red carpet, Elvis is bought and WebDAM had a happy three months. 

Elvis DAM has a new owner. WoodWing Software, provider of multi-channel publishing solutions, has purchased Dutchsoftware, maker of Elvis DAM.

WoodWing's Enterprise 8 multi-channel publishing system has been released. It includes new collaboration features, performance updates, and support for Adobe's digital publishing system.

We recently attended AdobeSummit and DrupalCon, Modula4 announced integration platforms, NetXposure 6.1 rolled out added functionality and features and the PublishingNOW! DAM-based publishing platform was unveiled.

Contrary to popular belief, the revolution will be digitized, and all those interested in the transformation must innovate or die. Print magazines held out for awhile, but now, with remarkable design systems in place and developing, such as the recent partnership between WoodWing Enterprise and Adobe Digital Publishing Suite, publications can keep their look and feel, without all the paper cuts. Recently, the joint venture announced the release of two new upgrades, which bring a host of additional features and multimedia functions to their innovative program. Even those aggravating inserts now have a way of being recreated virtually.

The latest version of WoodWing Enterprise offers AIR-powered editing, multi-channel text changes, integration of external content and lots of digital magazine features.
