Even if you’re working from a desktop with people in the same room there’s bound to be issues, so you can only imagine what it’s like trying to share and edit documents from a mobile device while on the go. Workshare is trying to improve this experience with a new app that aims to offer document comparison for mobile devices.

At some point, as the market matures some vendors will take a bow and others will join forces to create new, more comprehensive offerings. SkyDox and Workshare must have gotten the memo early. The pair announced today that they are joining forces.

A busy week in the document management space. The big event this week was the announcement by Cisco that it will buy Versly, while QuickOffice is still upgrading TouchPad capabilities. Adobe offers PDF functionality for iPad, and Work upgraded its Office 365 offering. DocSTAR and Kyocera integrated for better cloud document management.
