Metalogix (news, site) supports SharePoint from the administrative side of things offering migration, archiving and other management functions. Their recent acquisition of StoragePoint, another SharePoint solution provider, has added a new capability to their suite of solutions -- one that will appeal to many organizations.

Every company likes to save something special for their annual convention, and IRIS (news, site) is no exception. One of the releases that caught our attention was the upgrade to IRISPowerscan, which comes with a built-in connector to SharePoint 2007 and a wizard for capturing and managing documents.

There have been a number of new releases that should appeal to SMBs this week including a new version of SpringCM’s cloud-based enterprise content management system. There’s even some free cloud space too.

IT management software company CA (news, site)  has announced that it has just closed a cash deal worth US$ 350 million to buy monitoring solutions provider Nimsoft.
