Deacom, a North American producer of integrated accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software has added a document linker to their DEACOM Integrated Accounting and ERP Software System. The document linker is an extension to the DEACOM electronic document management system, allowing manufacturers to link an indefinite number of transactional documents to their respective transactions for easy access in a single ERP system.

Alfresco 2.2, enterprise content management

There were no fireworks, no fanfare or screams of "It's Here!, come and get it!". Last week, Alfresco very quietly released the newest version of their enterprise content management system. We here at CMSWire thought that was strange for such a well-known popular ECM.

So we contacted the folks over there. They told us that in a few weeks, Alfresco will officially, formally launch the release of Alfresco Enterprise Edition 2.2. Brava for Interwoven, Informative Graphics

The Interwoven enterprise content management product suite has been getting quite a lift this last week or so with announcements coming out of their GearUp Conference on new product enhancements and partnership opportunities.

One of these new partnerships is with a company called Informative Graphics (IGC). IGC specializes in viewing, collaboration and redaction technology and they have created something special for Interwoven WorkSite.

OReilly Events, High Performance Websites event with Steve Souders

Spend forty-five minutes with Steve Souders and you too can have Even Faster Web Sites. That's the plan anyway.

O'Reilly Media presents a free webcast with the author of High Performance Web Sites and former Chief Performance Yahoo!, Steve Souders.

The book High Performance Web Sites is based around the 14 most important rules that Souder discovered during his research and work on site optimization. If these rules are followed, he claims they can chip 25 to 50 percent off the response time when users request a page. Souder’s techniques have improved the functionality of such sites as Yahoo! SaaS and Virtualization have played a prominent role in the tech industry landscape for a while now, and the latest studies seem to show that they're going stronger than ever. In a CIOZone.com study that ranked the top-60 fastest-growing public software companies of at least $150 million in revenue in 2007, VMware lead the pack and Red Hat came in 12th place boasting a 33.6 percent growth rate.

Even more interesting is the role that SaaS seems to be playing in the success of some of these companies.


Vignette,Video Sharing Site Vidavee,

Video sharing site Vidavee, most famously known for working on video integration with The Huffington Post, has been acquired by enterprise CMS provider Vignette. This move comes after a large demand by Vignette's customers to provide rich media integration.

The announcement also comes fresh off the heels of Vignette's announcement of their Web Experience Platform.
