So say Google's critics about a company which, lets face it, is only 14 years old. We know what they're like; trying to grow up quickly, but really still a kid at heart. And that pretty much sums up the company's week as it keeps trying to please users while trying to obey the grown-ups.

Last week in Google was like a week in a bad soap opera: First the Internet giant pissed everyone off when they partnered with Verizon in a proposition to erode 'net neutrality, then Oracle slapped them with a patent and copyright infringement suit. 

There is a new eye in the sky — GeoEye-1 — and while Google isn’t the only one involved in the satellite action, the company is already receiving high-resolution images that are beautifully detailed.

Google has gotten exclusive rights to integrate these 50-centimeter-resolution images taken from GeoEye-1 into mapping applications, so we already know what is in store for the Google Maps and Google Earth users around the globe.
