Last August, iDatix (news site) made it onto the KMWorld's list of 100 trend-setting products for 2008. At the time there was speculation that it might have made the list because of iLink, its application integration solution.

Allowing for tighter integration with third party applications, iLink provides the ability for a user to create buttons and keyboard shortcuts that link to a particular function within iDatix iSynergy ECM.

This week saw another third party application -- eCopy’s (news site) ShareScan -- getting the full integration treatment.

Understandably, we've been a little wary in our evaluations of iDatix here at CMSWire. In February when we first reviewed them, we mentioned their lack of brand recognition as a contrast to the 451 Group's claim that iDatix had market disruption potential. Then in July, we questioned whether or not their iLink technology would be enough to garner global attention.

But then finally, in August, things were looking up for the young Business Automation software company when KMWorld called their content management system iSynergy a trend setter for 2008.

Today, with iDatix's recent release of their totally revamped and upgraded version of iSynergy (iSynergy 3.9), it looks like they're doing all they can to keep riding the wave of good fortune.

Yes, that’s right, KMWorld has released it’s list of Trend-Setting Products for 2008 and we have yet another vendor announcing they made the list. This time it’s iDatix and it’s enterprise content management solution iSynergy.

Another ECM vendor recognizes the need to provide tighter integration with third party applications. This time it’s iDatix, introducing the newest release of their enterprise CMS iSynergy v3.8.

If you think you know how application integration works, think again.

According to a recent Enterprise Software report by The 451 Group, iDatix, an emerging technology company out of Tampa Bay, Florida, may be holding the key to the next wave of document management solutions for the enterprise – if they can get recognition outside their home town.

They say iSynergy, iDatix’s document management software platform has the potential to “make a disruptive impact in a staid space”.
