XHTML 1.1 Released & Mobile Best Practices Proclaimed

W3C releases new standards for XHTML and mobile browsing

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) announced two new standards: for XHTML — XHTML Basic 1.1 Recommendation — and mobile browsing — Mobile Web Best Practices 1.0.

Mobile Web Best Practices 1.0 is a recommendation based on the experience of many mobile web stakeholders on how to create mobile-friendly content.

Both standards present a wealth of information and are definitely a “must-read” for anyone working in the mobile world.
