Email attachment assistance company, Attachment.Me has announced Attachments Everywhere, a new collection of tools to improve the file sharing experience.

IT solutions provider Barracuda Networks has released Copy, a cloud- based file storage and sharing tool. With Copy, users are able to share, view and sync files from any device, at any time.

Apple's App Store is ready to dispense some new document management fun with the KnowlegeLake Capture for SharePoint ECM app. iOS users can share documents and images right into their workflows with the free app, and SharePoint devotees are now that much closer to a deskfree workspace.

In December we took a look at Microsoft’s Hotmail email replacement service Outlook.com to see how it was coming along. At the time Microsoft said that about 25 million people had made the jump with a lot more getting ready. Two months later, users number 60 million, the new service is out of Preview and able to scale to one billion users.

Digital document management solutions vendor Nitro is introducing Nitro Pro 8.5, the newest release of its flagship desktop PDF application. Nitro is positioning Nitro Pro 8.5 as a replacement for Adobe Acrobat.

Enterprise search and content management provider Perceptive Software is upgrading its Enterprise Search and Workgroup Search applications to version 10.2.

This week in the document management world, the build up to the release of SharePoint 2013 continues, but governance is still an issue. Meanwhile, Laserfiche has added cursive scanning through Parascript, OpenText appoints a new CMO, Hannon Hill upgrades to v7.2, while Nuance also upgrades its scanning capabilities.

Open source enterprise solutions provider Liferay is updating its Liferay Sync document sharing/synchronization tool for mobile usage, while also introducing version 2.0 of its Alloy Java script framework.
