Social e-mail is the new pink. And no, we’re not talking about Google Buzz this time.

Microsoft Outlook’s integration of LinkedIn, Facebook and Myspace is what seems to be the enterprise’s answer to Buzz, minus the publishing focus and privacy issue backlash. From the look of things, avoiding networking while inside your e-mail is soon going to be near impossible—unless of course, you’re still using IE6 (please, just let go already).

Rather than creating an in-house social networking tool like the thus-far-catastrophic e-disaster more commonly known as Google Buzz, Microsoft (news, site) has decided to integrate the elite right into their own platform.

Barely a week after its release and Buzz has already – surprise, surprise! – pissed a bunch of people off in a huge way. Apparently Google’s sorry, but it doesn’t look like apologies are going to be enough this time.

These days, staying away from Google is nearly impossible. Just ask ex-Googlers Max Ventilla and Nathan Stoll, who left the search giant to make their own engine – a social search tool called Aardvark – just to turn right back around and sell it to them.
 

 While most of the Web has spent the last 24 hours buzzing over how Google Buzz will do in the social shark tank with Facebook and Twitter, executives have been looking at the enterprise side of things.

So, Google just grew a new leg called Buzz. We caught wind of the addition yesterday, but what we thought was going to be a simple status update option has turned out to be what can only be described as Facebook for Gmail.
