App developer Mike Irving announces a new iOS app, Kentico Go, for the Kentico CMS for Microsoft ASP.NET.

In a blog post, Irving writes, "My second Universal iOS App, Kentico Go allows the administrators of Kentico websites to quickly log in to their CMS systems to perform emergency resets, empty out cached pages, and to free up memory."

Kentico CMS

Kentico CMS for ASP.NET allows clients to create websites, online stores, community sites and intranets. The company has offices in the US, UK, and Czech Republic. With the Kentico CMS, clients can edit websites, upload images and insert videos, create online forms, optimize websites for search engines and analyze traffic and visitors. Kentico CMS users can also delegate content authoring permissions, create websites in multiple languages, and view page versions or roll back to previous versions. Major sites running Kentico CMS include McDonald's, Jim Beam and Gibson.

In August, Kentico unveiled version 6, which included a new user interface. Last month, the company announced customer experience management (CXM) features.

About the App

Irving, who uses Kentico in his day job at a web development company, used Xcode and Objective-C to develop the app. He says the new app, which interacts with Kentico installations that have a special app script installed, allows users to start and stop multiple sites and to view the most recent 20 entries in the System Event Log to identify the cause of any problems. The app also lets users free memory and empty cache items on the server.
