Jadu_logo_2010.jpgUK-based Jadu (newssite), has crossed the Atlantic and landed in the US ready to sell its it transactional web content management system to both the public and private sector.

Jadu announced its US move this week at eduWeb -- Chicago's conference for Higher Education Institutions. Richard Friend, Global Business Manager for Jadu said

We are very proud to be shipping Jadu to the North American market and are looking forward to working with the many customers we are already in dialogue with. Our grounding in Government and Higher Education makes Jadu a perfect fit for large US and Canadian organisations."

Jadu created its Web CMS in 2001 primarily for government organizations and has grown from there. Along with with its CMS, Jadu offers solutions for online forms and enterprise search. Its search application uses the Google Search Appliance and the Google Mini (the company says it was the first UK enterprise partner that Google selected to work with).

In addition, Jadu's Web CMS is available as both an on premise and on-demand solution (US hosting provider Rackspace provides Jadu's on-demand solution for many of its Government customers).

A Social Experience

Jadu has a number of Web Engagement Management capabilities to support a website focused on marketing and communications and the retail. Some of these include personalization, email marketing, modules for social network integration and CRM. In April of last year, the company introduced a Twitter module. For retail, it offers a salesware engine and online payment capability.

Jadu Web CMS is available as a .NET distribution run using Jadu's open source .NET compiler Phalanger or as PHP running on a Linux, Apache platform.
