Microsoft has over 400,000 partners world wide. But they don't all get a room with a view on the Microsoft Campus in Redmond, WA. Fortunately for Sitecore (news, site), they do.

Living Large at Microsoft One Way

Sitecore has become one of only 12 partners to have a dedicated presence on the Microsoft Campus. The web content management vendor, whose solution is built on Microsoft technologies, is now a Project Sponsor Partner in the Microsoft Partner Solutions Center (OpenText is another Project Partner, they made their home in Redmond back in 2007).

The MPSC, located in the heart of the Microsoft campus in Redmond, WA, offers customers and partners an environment where industry leaders and talented innovators collaborate in a single setting,” said David Hayes, Microsoft Partner Solutions Center director, Microsoft Corporation. “We provide a place where innovators like Sitecore can evaluate, plan, build and deploy solutions faster and with more flexibility, using the Microsoft platform."

On the Way to the Cloud

According to Jean-Paul Gomes, corporate vice president for Sitecore, they have actually been on campus for a few months and the release of the cloud version of the Sitecore CMS has been accelerated as a result.

In July at the Microsoft Partner Conference, Sitecore announced that version 6.3 of the Web CMS was cloud ready. Sitecore also participated in the Azure Technology Adoption Program, so it's a pretty good assumption that the integration is tight and works well.

Gomes says we should expect to hear a lot more about Sitecore's cloud computing capabilities in relation to the move to Microsoft One Way.
