SpringCM Delivers SaaS Enterprise Document Management

Seems like everyone is working to advance workflow these days. SpringCM is no exception.

A leader in on-demand document management and workflow, they've released SpringCM 4.0, which offers Advanced Workflow and business process management (BPM) capabilities.

Touted as “the first and only product to combine enterprise-class document management and workflow in a single integrated solution,” SpringCM 4.0 extends its mission to deliver comprehensive content management functionality at an affordable price.

Allowing users the ability to automate daily business operations such as accounts payable, contract management and new-hire processing in a low cost, low risk Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, SpringCM 4.0 extends traditional routing and approval features and simplifies even the most complex business processes.

Specifically, automated decision processing provides immediate payback by focusing employees' efforts on the most productive tasks at a particular time; a graphic configuration modeler facilitates workflow and provides the ability to deploy multiple versions; and a customizable flowchart model enables users to quickly change processes, like assigning multiple users to a single step, among others which work to improve oversight, visibility and accountability.

It's easy to get distracted by all the spiffy workflow enhancements, but the 4.0 release also includes new features around document acquisition. Documents that are scanned from any TWAIN-compatible scanner can now be renamed, uploaded and have metadata added directly to the appropriate folder in SpringCM.
