Laurence Hart is a director of consulting services at CGI Federal, with a focus on leading digital transformation efforts that drive his clients’ success. A proven leader in content management and information governance, Laurence has over two decades of experience solving the challenges organizations face as they implement and deploy information solutions. The author of Word of Pie, Laurence is a respected voice in the industry, having been inducted as an Honors Fellow by the Information Coalition. He contributes to multiple publications and speaks regularly on how technology can address the challenges people face today and tomorrow.
Laurence has led a wide range of projects including digital transformation, records management, BPM, and collaboration for the commercial, nonprofit and public sectors. These projects have spanned multiple content technologies, including Documentum, SharePoint, Sitecore and Alfresco. They have often involved other enterprise technologies such as marketing automation, ERP and CRM solutions.
While the CIO of AIIM, the leading association of information professionals, Laurence transformed AIIM’s IT department from a legacy, technology-focused organization into one that is member and service focused. This allowed AIIM to focus on innovating instead of simply "keeping the lights on." Laurence led projects to implement a new association management system (AMS), Office365, Yammer, and a Sitecore upgrade. The Sitecore efforts were coupled with a website redesign incorporating the new AMS to create better member services.
