As Velir’s chief executive officer, Mark sets the overall direction of the organization and his primary focus and responsibilities are in the areas of strategic planning, business development, contracts, finance and administration. A visionary with sound business principles, Mark founded Velir in 2000—growing the company to more than 50 employees and profitability. He has over 10 years of experience managing the development of high-profile web sites and interactive applications for clients such as The Brookings Institution, The Annie E. Casey Foundation, The Kaiser Family Foundation, Harvard Medical School’s Department of Continuing Education, The JASON Foundation for Education, Harvard Graduate School of Education, the Environmental Protection Agency, and others.
