An Open Marketing Ecosystem Keeps the Data Flowing
Raghu is the product visionary and driving force behind Act-On Software. A seasoned entrepreneur, Raghu led the initial design of the Act-On service and the development of its core technology and infrastructure.
Previously, he was the co-founder and CTO of Responsys, Inc. (NASDAQ: MKTG), the industry leader in email and life cycle marketing solutions for high-end retailers. Responsys was purchased by Oracle in early 2014. The company was backed by Accel, Foundation Capital, Redpoint Ventures, and Sigma Partners.
Raghu got started down the entrepreneurial path when he quit a cushy job and took a giant pay cut to join a tiny start-up called Mentor Graphics, which had a small team of smart, passionate people and zero revenue. He participated in its frantic growth through a very successful IPO (NASDAQ: MENT) and to revenue of well over $400M by the time he left seven years later.
Raghu holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota and a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay.
