Ruth Baril

Ruth helps coordinate pilots and betas at Slack, ensuring Product teams have easy access to diverse feedback during the definition and delivery stages of the development cycle. Over the last seven years, she’s implemented systems to make sure the voice of the customer is in the forefront of all decisions. As a remote worker since 2016, Ruth has been a vocal proponent of remote-friendly practices, and believes that Slack provides the ideal environment for hybrid work. Prior to Slack, Ruth worked as a childbirth and early parenting educator at a hospital, where she honed the advocacy skills she uses to amplify the voice of Slack’s customers. Outside of work, Ruth enjoys spending time at the beach with her husband and three daughters, riding her bike that goes nowhere, and learning French in hopes to live in Paris one day.
