Siobhan Fagan is the editor in chief of Reworked and host of the Apex Award-winning Get Reworked podcast and Reworked's TV show, Three Dots.
Fagan played an instrumental part in the launch of Reworked in 2020 and was its first senior managing editor before taking over as editor in chief in 2022. She spent the previous 10 years leading the contributor community at sister site CMSWire, starting as an associate editor and working her way up until her final role as managing editor. During that time she quadrupled the size of the CMSWire contributor community, increased site traffic, led social efforts on Twitter and LinkedIn and managed the day-to-day operations.
Fagan was named one of the Top 50 Women Leaders in Media in 2024, in part to recognize how her leadership of Reworked is "transforming the media ecosystem, making it more inclusive and engaging for diverse audiences."
Her career in tech journalism started over 15 years ago following a circuitous path which included time stripping roses in a flower shop, bartending in a bakery, acting as interim director of the Bronx Zoo library, adding metadata to the slide collection of the Museum of National History, writing for an encyclopedia of entertaining and producing the world’s longest running (at the time) Pecha Kucha. She is a regular speaker at Simpler Media Group's in person and online conferences as well as an in-demand moderator throughout the industry.
She holds a BA in history from the New School for Social Research and an MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh.
Fagan lives in Brooklyn with her partner and a wide menagerie of animals. She has hosted soup night for over 25 years.
