Tom Smith, SVP Industry Solutions

Tom has over 20 years of experience in marketing and began his career with General Electric in one of their management development programs. Tom held a variety of positions in sales, marketing and account management within GE Card Services. After spending over 10 years working directly with retailers maximizing the value of their private labeled credit cards, he started with Transamerica in 2001, in their Consumer Direct marketing division. Tom progressed through a variety of marketing positions and was responsible for executing TV, direct mail, telemarketing and online promotions. Starting in 2008, Tom was exclusively focused on emerging technology and developing digital marketing strategies to drive direct to consumer sales through the ecommerce channel. His vision and leadership drove significant investments in digital technology and "first to market" solutions for Transamerica.

Tom earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a Minor in Philosophy from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA.
